Wednesday Night Wars is a fortnightly dive into the wild, over-the-top world of 1990s professional wrestling; a time when storylines were bigger than reality, rivalries spilled across promotions, and every week felt like it might collapse into total chaos.

Each event is a mystery pay-per-view pulled from the era when wrestling was at its loudest, strangest, and most unpredictable. One week it might be Bash at the Beach, the next Judgment Day or Hardcore Heaven. Expect a shared descent into pure 90s wrestling spectacle, experienced together in real time.

This is the age of faction warfare, surprise betrayals, steel chairs, and commentary that treats every punch like a life-altering event. Expect chaotic booking, questionable decisions, and moments that make absolutely no sense until they suddenly do (well, sometimes!)

Wednesday Night Wars celebrates wrestling as live, communal entertainment: part sport, part soap opera, part organised madness. It’s for lifelong fans, lapsed viewers, and anyone curious about what happens when spectacle is pushed past reason but held together by charisma and noise.

Downstairs at The Ill Repute, the atmosphere is loud, informal, and full of reaction. Cheap pints, big reactions, and a room united by the shared understanding that this is supposed to be ridiculous.

Every other Wednesday night. Doors are at 7pm and the PPV starts 7:30pm sharp. Free entry (donations welcome). Limited seating - entry closes once full.
